SoB and Reading United - Help Kick Hunger!
Upcoming Reading United Events
Reading United friendlies vs. Philadelphia Union (5/31) and Harrisburg Islanders (5/24)
Reading United Home Game (5/20): Mark McKently Scholarship Night
Reading United have kicked off their 2011 PDL campaign in dominating fashion winning 2 US Open Cup qualifiers against the Brooklyn Knights (3-1) and NJ Rangers (4-0)! Most importantly, in order to promote the upcoming series of friendlies among Union affiliates and help raise money for Help Kick Hunger, Reading United A.C. will be making a guest appearance at the SOB tailgate this weekend! Stop by the tent and introduce yourself! We hope to have a reserve player and Reading United and Union Reserve team coach guest appearances throughout the day!
To help raise money for Help Kick Hunger, Reading United will be selling raffle tickets for great prizes! Many unique items will be given away! Make sure you check out the Reading United tent at the tailgate! All net proceeds from the raffle will go to the Bernardine Center in Chester, PA!
Tickets for the Reading United exhibition games against the Philadelphia Union, May 31st at 7:30pm, and Harrisburg City Islanders, May 24th at 7:00pm, will be available at the tailgate or online at www.readingunitedac.com/store/tickets.html. To skip the lines for these games, print-at-home tickets are available for purchase, courtesy of ShowClix, at www.showclix.com/event/readingunitedac.Ticket costs are $10 each and are ALL general admission tickets. Fans can purchase a two game pack (tickets for both games) for $15. Both games will be held at Exeter High School’s Don Thomas Stadium. Last year, these games were a great opportunity to get pictures and autographs with your favorite Union players. Some of the best player access was at the Reading United vs. Union game in 2010!
Reading United would also like to announce during their next home game, Friday May 20th, against Ocean City F.C. All proceeds from this game will be donated to the Mark McKently Scholarship fund. Mark was an Oley Valley High School soccer player who was killed in an automobile accident earlier this year. Kickoff is at 7:30PM at Oley Valley High School.
