As you may know, Election season is upon us and it’s time to get ready to elect members to the Board of Directors. Nominations for the below positions are still open and will be through October 2nd. The Eric D. Shertz Memorial Fund has been established to fund non-profit charities. Among them are two scholarships awarded yearly to outstanding High School Female and Male athletes. This fund will continue to honor Eric’s memory, and will enable deserving young student / athletes to attend higher education.
A fundraising tailgate party will be held on Saturday August 24th at Talen Stadium prior to the Philadelphia Union match to benefit this fund and its activities. The benefit tailgate will feature raffles, 50-50s and great food & drink. Once again, we are indebted to the Sons of Ben for their outstanding help and support in Eric’s memory.
